Meet The Woman Behind Pretty Pink Designs
Hello, I’m Sarah, and I design websites, web apps, logos, and landing pages for beauty industry professionals. I also manage their social media accounts when necessary. With extensive collaboration and consistent communication, I make sure to gain their trust, and treat them like the professionals they are. Not only do I strive to advertise their brand in a trendy, yet reasonable way through my designs, I work to attract more clients to their businesses. I’ve lived and worked overseas for several years. As a result, I’m capable of working with people of diverse backgrounds.
In addition to that, I’m proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which allows me to develop my designs on the front-end. Designing products for clients just isn’t enough. I understand that the products need to be brought to life.
Designing and developing websites and web apps isn’t my only passion. I enjoy designing nails, practicing skin care routines, and applying makeup. However, I’ve chosen not to pursue those activities as secondary careers, and kept them as hobbies instead. My other hobbies include playing video games, reading novels, watching indie films, shopping (online and off), playing tennis, roller skating, and ice skating. I plan to learn how to snowboard in the near future.
As an intern, I’m learning how to properly conduct user research, find appropriate solutions, and create elaborate interfaces. Teaming up with developers in order to create robust apps that provide great user experiences and engaging user interfaces. The internship is an ongoing process that will last for several months. Throughout the intenship, I’m required to complete a project during each session, which lasts for several months. At the end of each session, I’ll present the entire project.
I'm participating in an intensive program on Web Design. I’m learning by completing practical projects that involve user interface design, user experience design, visual design, and front-end design. User research, storyboarding, wire-framing, and prototyping are concepts that I’m working on mastering.

Initially, my duties are meeting with contractors, answering phone calls, filing important documents, writing reports, and planning meetings. I also designed the company website. I’ve used Figma, and Photoshop XD for designing the website; however, I did not design the company logo.
I worked as an intern by developing web pages on the Front-end. Bootstrap and Git were used throughout the whole process. Weekly meetings were also held in order to receive feedback. This was a remote internship.
I’m learning proper techniques used to conduct user research, gather requirements, and forming user journeys. I also practiced design principles and patterns by designing low-fidelity wireframes, style tiles, and high-fidelity wireframes before creating design comps and prototypes.
